The City of Hopkins renamed itself Paige Bueckers, Minnesota, to honor the basketball legend ahead of her WNBA debut Friday night with the Dallas Wings against the Minnesota Lynx.

Mayor Patrick Hanlon of Hopkins, Minnesota, joins "The Afternoon Shift" to celebrate Paige Bueckers, a Hopkins High School alumnus who was the first overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.

Matthew Brenneman was sentenced Friday for the killing of his ex-girlfriend, Danicka Bergson. He was sentenced to about 23 years for the murder.
